Aly & Andrew’s Wedding Day
Yesterday I had the absolute joy of photographing Aly and Andrew’s wedding, and I am still smiling about it.
From the very beginning of the day, these two carried the kind of happiness that was impossible to miss. I am talking about the real kind. The kind that shows up naturally, sticks around all day, and somehow spreads to everyone else in the room. I honestly do not think either of them stopped smiling once, and the best part is that it never felt posed or forced. It was simply who they are together.
What stood out most was not just how happy they were, but how happy everyone around them was. Their friends, their families, the quiet moments between events, and the loud moments on the dance floor all carried the same feeling. The whole day felt wrapped in a warm and genuine joy that you cannot stage or plan. You can only feel it, and yesterday it was everywhere.
Aly and Andrew have the kind of connection that makes photographing a wedding feel less like work and more like being invited into something meaningful. The way they looked at each other, laughed together, and kept finding small moments throughout the day to just be together reminded me why I love doing this so much.
There were so many moments that made the day special. The quiet anticipation before the ceremony, the way their people showed up for them in the biggest ways, and the constant undercurrent of laughter that followed them from start to finish made the entire celebration feel personal and full of life.
Somewhere in the middle of all that happiness, I got to stand there with a camera and document it. That is something I never take lightly.
